🔍 How do I search for food items?

Use the search bar on the home screen to find foods. You can search by name, scan a barcode, or use the AI scanner to capture nutrition labels from photos.

🥜 How do I set up allergen alerts?

Go to Settings → Health & Safety, then tap "Manage Allergens". Select the allergens you want to track, and NutraSafe will automatically warn you when scanning foods that contain them.

📊 How are nutrition scores calculated?

NutraSafe uses a comprehensive algorithm that considers protein, fibre, vitamins, minerals, and limits on saturated fat, sugar, and sodium. Foods are graded from A+ (excellent) to F (poor).

📱 Can I use NutraSafe offline?

Basic functionality requires an internet connection to search our food database. Previously scanned items are cached and can be viewed offline.

🍎 How do I track my daily nutrition?

Foods you scan are automatically added to your Diary. View your daily intake by tapping the Diary tab, where you can see calories, macronutrients, and micronutrient coverage.

📸 The barcode scanner isn't working. What should I do?

Ensure you've granted camera permissions in your device settings. Try cleaning your camera lens and ensuring good lighting. If issues persist, you can manually search for items or use the AI scanner.

🔄 How do I sync my data across devices?

All your data is automatically synced to your account when you're signed in. Simply log in with the same account on another device to access your information.

🗑️ How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. This will permanently remove all your data from our servers within 30 days.

💳 How do subscriptions work?

Subscriptions are handled through the Apple App Store. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings at any time.

🔐 I forgot my password

On the login screen, tap "Forgot Password?" and follow the instructions. A password reset link will be sent to your email address.

⚠️ Food data seems incorrect

If you notice incorrect nutritional information, please email us at contact@nutrasafe.co.uk with details of the product and the issue.
